PLATFORM LEEDS
BRUNTWOOD
Brief
Bruntwood purchased the iconic building, City House in Leeds, and along with DLG Architects transformed this 1960’s office space into one of Leeds’ most desired places to work.
North/South curtain walling facades posed two different glare issues. North elevation required a fabric to maximise natural light and the South elevation required a fabric to control solar glare and heat gain. The fabric needed to be visually the same from outside the building for aesthetics
Delivery
Linea 314 heavy duty roller blinds with Lineascreen white backed fabric was the ideal solution for Platform.
Manual operation for the open plan office areas and motorised control for the meeting rooms.
3% open weave Lineascreen allowed natural light to filter in through the North elevation and 1% open weave Lineascreen reduced the heat gain and glare on the South elevation. The white backed fabric allowed tenants to choose from a variety of internal colours for their offices whilst maintaining a uniform appearance from outside the building.
Results
Installation was carried out with various fit out contractors as and when tenants moved into their new office space.
Fresco was compliant with all H&S requirements for each fit out company and every installation completed on time and to budget.
The finished result is magnificent with modern office space, meeting rooms, super-fast internet, roof top garden and 24 hour access.
Platform was a vision which has become a reality.
Fresco Solar Shading have worked for Bruntwood regularly over the last 10 years. Platform is the most recent example of our evolved workspace offer in Leeds and the requirement for product quality, performance and delivery was paramount. Fresco delivered again.”.
