HUNTCLIFF SCHOOL, GAINSBOROUGH | EDDISONS

Brief

Eddisons UK Chartered Surveyors were appointed by Huntcliff School to provide new windows for the Main Hall and Sports Hall.

Existing blinds and curtains were disposed of and when the new windows had been installed there was a requirement for a solar glare solution to the hall.

One of the main requirements was ensuring that only designated users could operate the blinds as and when required.

Delivery

Linea 314C heavy duty roller blinds with crank handle operation was proposed but having long handles attached to the blinds at all times would mean that the pupils could operate blinds even though this is not permitted.

By providing detachable handles with magnetised connectors in easy reach enabled the staff to position the blinds at the desired level then remove the handle and store in a safe place.

Results

Installation was carried out by Fresco Operatives accredited with all working at height credentials.

Neatly positioned control rods are clamped back to the wall within easy reach for staff to connect the handle when solar glare becomes an issue.

Fresco has delivered solutions for solar glare and heat gain on Commercial, Educational and Industrial projects consistently for Eddisons’ clients. No one project is ever the same but at all times the Fresco team provide practical and cost effective products from their Linea range of blinds. Highly recommended!
